Bridfa Horeb Stud

LINE BREEDING SPANNING THREE CENTURIES TO PRODUCE COBS WITH
WITH QUALITY, SUBSTANCE, TYPE, TEMPERMENT AND VERSATILITY

History

Roderick started breeding welsh cobs at the age of 17, his first foal being Horeb Swyn, who was the Dam
of the 1992 International Show section C In Hand and Driving Champion Horeb Fflach.
In 1982 Kilgour Welsh Monarch was bought by Roderick to continue the Rees family tradition and welsh
cob bloodlines (see below). Having previously spotted Medway Britannia at the 1977 Llanarth Sales, bred by Mr Tom Wightwick.
Monarch and Britania produced Horeb Euros and history was made.
Roderick and Catherine married in 1992, they met as a result of Catherines father purchasing Tyssul Coram.
When they won the George Prince of Wales Cup in 1993 with Horeb Euros, their names appeared alongside both of
their respective Grandfathers. (see below).
Since their marriage they have continued to breed Sec As, Cs and Ds and have had major success in the showring.
Tirion Haf, Sion Gwalia and Ffion Anna their 3 children are all incredibly keen with the cobs and work
hard on the smallholding to care for all the animals.

The Rees family have owned/bred Welsh Cobs over the last three centuries, always keeping consecutive sons
